FANA welcomes families with children adopted from FANA and/or young adults to visit the orphanage. Tours of the orphanage are available and you may be able to spend some time visiting or playing with the children who are currently there. There is a dormitory where teenagers or young adults may stay if they wish to spend an extended time volunteering at FANA. There are other options as well for visitors who want to help at FANA, but also want to be able to experience more of the cultural and social activities in the city of Bogotá. In that case, staying in Bogotá (rather than the suburb of Suba) is a better option (see Travel to Colombia).
A visit to FANA can be a meaningful stop as part of a return visit to Colombia for children and young adults adopted from FANA. Generally, staff at FANA will meet with the children or families. For more information, see For Adopted Persons.
If you are interested in visiting FANA, please contact Flor Angela Rojas, Director, FANA, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
